Why is Plant It Forwards slogan Conscientious Landscape Design? Simply stated: Were passionate about creating inspirational and practical landscapes in a responsible manner. We founded, and named, our family run business on the basic principle of doing the right thing, both by our clients and the environment. Heres how we do it: We dislike waste, in any capacity, and will repurpose customers plants and materials whenever and wherever appropriate. We specify the right plants in the right place, to avoid disappointment. We design those dream property plans or create elements for fixed budgets. Were not affiliated with any nursery or paver company, so youll always receive unbiased and specialized advice catered to your project. Which means you will never be upsold on extra items or services that you probably dont need. The designer has an Architecture degree from England, and holds certifications in Arboriculture, Horticulture and Pesticide Application through ISA., FNGLA and FDACS respectively. and finally, its not about the money. The lead designer works full time for a local government agency. Plant It Forward, LLC is simply a hobby business. As such were able to retain our passion for creating unique landscape designs without worrying about putting food on the table or paying bills. Youre quite literally paying for our time and knowledgenothing more! Thank you adding us to that list of companies youre pleased to have discovered!

Best Questions to Ask a Landscaping Contractors Contractor

Do you work with subcontractors?

The question is great for some industries and non-applicable for others. A general contractor, for example, will by definition employ subcontractors. Most Monticello Landscaping companies do not, but there are exceptions. You should always ask this question to your service providers. If they do use subcontractors, ask if they're all licensed and insured independently.

Do you hire properly documented Landscaping workers?

This will be answered when you ask if all employees are licensed. The only way to obtain a legitimate tradesman's license is to be a legal or naturalized citizen of the US. The company may employ people in positions that don't require a license, however, so it's wise to inquire.

Is your bill for Landscaping in Monticello an estimate or a final price?

This is very important, since an estimate is just that. Many contractors will submit a "paper estimate", meaning they've written the estimate down on paper. The bill is the true amount owed and will almost always say "Invoice" or "Bill" at the top of the page. The bill should also list the date it was issued, the due date of payment, and a list of services rendered.

How many contractors do you have working for you? How many vehicles are in your fleet?

This is important mostly for larger jobs. Clearly a two man operation is going to build a home much slower than a 15 man crew. This is also a good indication of the overall size of the Landscaping company, if that's an area of concern for you. The reason you may want to ask about the fleet is that fleet size is a good indicator of the mobility of the company. Mobility may not sound important, but it's hard for the Monticello contractors to get to job sites if they lack appropriate vehicles.
