OMG…!!! I called to have a sewer drain cleaned out on a late Friday afternoon. Expecting no answer or a very high fee for the service. I was pleasantly surprised that James was available and his fee for the service was very reasonable for the situation. James arrived on time as promised with his helper and proceed to review his options. He was very professional and easy going. James was able to take care of the problem with ease very quickly. James even took off his shoes before entering my bedroom where the problem occurred, what tradesmen actually does this! I thought that he is very considerate and consciousness about his service. I will definitely refer and recommend his services to my clients, friends and family. There should be more tradesmen like him!!!

Best Questions to Ask a Plumber Contractor

Are you union or non-union?

This really only matters if you have a preference, but it is good to ask. If you have a strong ideological belief about unions or nonunions, it's perfectly acceptable to make a decision based on the preference.

Do you have any references that I can contact?

Always ask for references, and always check them. Keep in mind though that the only references you'll get are people who the contractor is certain will give him a good review. You'd also be well advised to check online review sources in Thousand Oaks as well, which will give you a broader view of customer satisfaction for a given company.

Do you hire properly documented Plumbing workers?

This will be answered when you ask if all employees are licensed. The only way to obtain a legitimate tradesman's license is to be a legal or naturalized citizen of the US. The company may employ people in positions that don't require a license, however, so it's wise to inquire.

Do you work with subcontractors?

The question is great for some industries and non-applicable for others. A general contractor, for example, will by definition employ subcontractors. Most Thousand Oaks Plumbing companies do not, but there are exceptions. You should always ask this question to your service providers. If they do use subcontractors, ask if they're all licensed and insured independently.
