Whether you live in a house or apartment, you should consider building a cat porch for your pet. These are like heaven on earth for your pet! The idea is to make a space for your cat to enjoy fresh air and have a bit more space to walk around and relax that’s not indoors.
You can either buy them ready or DIY your own at home, the important thing is that these cat porches - also known as “catios” - should have:
- Stairs
- Shelves
- Scratchers
- Cat beds
- Cat tree (optional)
In addition to that:
They must also be screened-in porches to make sure your pets are safe, both from getting lost outdoors and from getting attacked by other creatures that might visit your backyard.
