I want to replace an alcove bathtub with a drop-in tub and replace a shower unit with a tiled shower. I also plan to have the current bathroom floor (which is tile) removed and replaced with new tile. The tile area for the shower is 6000 square inches or about 42 square feet (only two shower walls will be completely tiled). I want the third wall to have a tiled overflow from the bathtub (they're on the same wall and back-to-back) --- like a tiled bench in the shower --- and then the wall up from the bench (to split the tub and shower spaces) will be glass blocks about 2/3 of the way up with a flat glass pane the last 1/3 of the way. And then the last wall of the shower will be the glass door. The bathtub is very large --- a drop-in tub 60 x 42 inches --- that will need a tiled area (apron and surround) of about 1800 square inches. The bathroom floor is right at 12000 square inches or 83.5 square feet.
