I have two chimneys. One fed by a fireplace insert. One fed by a pellet stove. The chimney's have not been cleaned in the recent past, 25 years maybe longer. However, the cottage has not been used or heated from November 1 thru early April at any time since 1961.

Chimney in middle of residence needs to be tuckpointed or rebuilt based on your recommendation. The chimney is interior except for the outside 5 or so feet and carries only the exhaust of the forced air furnace in the house.
